Charity Evening with the Downing Brothers « Bike Pure

After the success of last years inaugural ‘Out of the Saddle’ charity evening, this year’s event returns on Saturday November 6th at Sitwell Park Golf Club near Rotherham, England. Hosted by Russell Downing (Team Sky) and older brother Dean Downing (Rapha Condor Sharp), the 2010 event will be supporting the Danny Porter Foundation charity.

Last years sell out crowd raided in excess of £3000 for the Geoff Thomas Foundation, with the auction of many items of cycling memorabilia which included a signed yellow jersey by Alberto Contador. Last years event was also attended by cycling legends Malcolm Elliott, Chris Walker, Team Sky’s Ben Swift and Lotto’s Adam Blythe. With family and friends from the UK cycling community attending, the night was enjoyed by all who attended raising money for a great cause.

Bike Pure have kindly been asked to support this years event, so we’ll be sending several items for what we hope will be a great night in raising funds for the charity.
