Press Release:

The RIS Insulation Junior Tour of Wales today became a member and supporter of Bike Pure – the charitable organisation that promotes “clean” cycle racing.

“We are absolutely delighted to be associated with Bike Pure,” said Talbot Thrush, race organiser. “Bike Pure is all about promoting good clean competition in cycling with the emphasis on rider centred safety and enjoyment.  This is exactly what the Junior Tour of Wales Cycle Race wants for our competitors.  We want to provide a prestigious race for our future champions that promotes the Bike Pure principles so we have signed up as a member.”

“Bike Pure’s principle is to protect the integrity of cycling and promote clean cycle sport. Cycling fans worldwide deserve heroes they can believe in,” said Andy Layhe of Bike Pure, “so it’s great to team up with a race that both follows our principle aim and provides those future heroes.”

The Junior Tour of Wales runs from 28-30th August and this year celebrates its 30th year of competition and has been the launch pad for numerous professional cycling careers including Mark Cavendish, David Millar, Geraint Thomas, Charly Wegilius and Peter Kennaugh and has provided an outstanding 3 day stage race for Juniors.

Riders will each receive the distinctive Bike Pure wristband and headset spacer prior to the race.
