Team Jayco-Skins rider Michael Matthews took the honors in stage 1 of the Tour of Langkawi earlier today. The young Aussie rider, who claimed 3rd place in the U23 road race and Time trial events at the Australian Championships used his effective sprint to take the leaders yellow jersey.

It’s an extraordinary moment for Bike Pure, as proud affiliates of the event, for one of our riders to lead the event sends a great message to the cycling world that a big change is occuring within the sport.
Other riders aligned to Bike Pure riding the event include Johann Rabie and Jay Thomson, representing the South African national team, Richard Lang and Aaron Donnelly (Team Jayco-Skins) and Rene Weissinger and Silvere Ackermann (Vorarlberg-Corratec).
